I'm debating whether or not I need the typical boost, A/F, and fuel pressure gauges in my car. I mean, as long as I take care of it and I periodically do tune ups at a shop that hooks them up to these gauges, do I need to have them in my car?
I would rather spend some money on new tires instead of the gauges. So I really want to know is how likely and how often is it that something goes wrong that you need gauges to monitor it with.
I also understand the tuning advantages of having the fuel pressure gauge but it was tuned pretty well with the install so I don't really want to mess with it anymore.
On top of it, I love the fact that my car gives no indication to anyone outside the car as to what's under the hood.

I think its important to have some ability to monitor your setup...in case you have a problem..or just to prevent a future problem...if you dont want any gauges visible for the stealth look....consider mounting the gauges in the glove box

Call me a baby but I would say do all of these and this order: AF gauge, Boost Gauge, Fuel pressure gauge (IN CAR) and oil gauge. You'll be in a much better position to tune and monitor your car.

The prices for the gauges are around $50 per gauge but it's the fuel pressure one that's really expensive. I talked to summit and they said that the in cabin gauge is around $150. I don't understand why this one is so much more.
Blwngsr is selling the B&M fuel pressure gauge (under hood) and the in cabin one (only has readings at 25 psi intervals) for around $100 for both.
So for the A/F, in cab fuel pressure, B&M fuel pressure and the triple pod (I already have the boost gauge), the total will be $218. I just didn't know if this is worth it. I thought maybe the money would be better spent on some tires so I can actually hook up. My nitto 450's aren't helping my launch any.
It's the 6psi kit and I'm sure it's pretty safe as it is and anything that does go out of whack will be found in my periodic services right?

I say you do.
for a SC i think boost is one of the least important. I rate FP, A/F, boost.

I would recommend an A/F gauge somewhere, just so you could check that you're still running rich at WOT every now and then. Only $40 or so.

I see about 1,000 gauges listed for the GSR on that page... Which one exactly do you want? IE: How high does it have to go, etc.

I kind of don't agree with what everyone else is saying. I mean, it's nice to have as much information about what's going on with the engine as possible, but with the mods Avanish V has, it doesn't seem to dictate the need for any of them. I mean, if you were playing around with the boost on a turbo, I'd say you'd definitely need all of the above plus an EGT. But on a s/c setup with set boost? I don't know.
If you do plan on getting something, I agree with everyone else in saying an in-cabin fpg should be the first thing on the list. I don't have one and I think I wound up blowing my motor with too much pressure at the rails.
